Itinerary of Ijen tour from Bali

Day 01: Start from Bali to Ijen crater stay/ Banyuwangi area

  • Our staff will pick you up either at the airport or hotel in Bali and the best time to start for this trip is in the morning time, but we are ready to fetch you by the latest at 17 pm (please let us know either your flight number or hotel detail) and we will fetch you to start the trip to reach the ferry port Gilimanuk in the most western tip of Bali Island with a private car which is completed with air conditioned. The trip from your place in Bali to Gilimanuk ferry port will go through the small cities, plantations, rice field, beaches & rural landscapes of West Bali which will take for about 3 – 5 hours driving and it is depend on situation of the traffic.

  • Upon arrival in Gilimanuk ferry port, we will cross Bali strait with a ferry for about 1 – 1.5 hours to reach ferry port in Ketapang - Banyuwangi which is located in the most eastern tip of Java Island. After crossing Bali strait and upon your arrival in Ketapang ferry port of Banyuwangi, we will escort you directly to your accommodation or hotel in Ijen crater area. >>> If you still have time with good weather during the trip on this day, you will have a chance to do optional program, such as the snorkeling tours activities in Menjangan Island with extra cost 

Day 02: Ijen hiking with possibility doing blue fire tours, then go to Malang or Surabaya

  • 00:30 or 01.00 am: This trip will be started from your accommodation or hotel in Ijen area around at 00:30 am or at least at 01:00 am and then drives for about 1 hour to reach the post 1 of Paltuding or this is as the starting point for the hiking activities in Ijen crater and then you will do climbing Ijen actitivities as follow 

  • 02.00-06.00: The preparation and then climbing activities to reach top of Ijen crater. Upon your arrival time on the peak of Ijen crater, you can do observation of the Milky Way + the seeing process of blue fire and if it is allowed by Ijen crater officer, we will descend to reach the edge of lake to see blue fire with better and clearer view, then afterward viewing of sunrise on the peak of Mount Ijen and take a rest with an amazing view the green lake of sulfur as natural backgrounds which can forget how tired for the climbing process in Ijen crater

  • 06.00-10.00: Go down by passing the same route or path on the slope of Ijen till reach base camp Paltuding. And then, leaving Ijen crater area to escort you back to your accommodation or hotel for breakfast, take shower, and take your own time in hotel area, then preparation to leave accommodation or hotel in Ijen area

  • 10.00-19.00: Leaving from your accommodation in Ijen carter area to drive for about 8 – 9 hours to reach your next destination either in Malang or Surabaya as your finish point for this trip. >>> If you still have time with good weather, during the trip today, you will have a chance to do optional program of Banyuwangi exploring tours, such as for: Jagir waterfall tours, Banyuwangi beach tours, Baluran national park tours and Banyuwangi rafting tours with extra cost 

* Note: If the weather is NOT good OR  it is NOT allowed by Mount Ijen officer to do night hiking Ijen tour. It means, you CAN'T do night hiking in Ijen crater for Ijen blue fire tours including witness one of the amazing views of blue fire on the top of mountain.
