Tour itinerary

Day 01: Drive from Bali to hotel or homestay in Ijen crater area, Banyuwangi

  • Our staff will pick you up from your hotel or airport in Bali then take you to the most western tip of Bali for about 3-5 hours driving by private car with AC to reach Gilimanuk ferry port in the most western tip of Bali Island, and then upon arrival time in Gilimanuk, we will proceed to take a ferry to cross Bali strait for about 1-1.5 hours to reach Ketapang ferry port in Banyuwangi which is located in the most eastern tip of Java Island. The trip goes through the rural landscapes of West Bali and in the afternoon, we will arrive in Ketapang ferry port – Banyuwangi, East Java.

  • Upon your arrival time in Ketapang ferry port which is located in the most eastern tip of Java Island. We will escort you directly to your hotel or accommodation of Ijen crater in Banyuwangi area for overnight stay, before you do Ijen crater hiking tour activities on the next day

  • Optional tour programs: During your trip today, you will have a chance to do optional tour program for the snorkeling tour activities in Menjangan Island which is located in the West Bali National Park with extra cost

Day 02: Adventure and Ijen crater hike with a blue fire tours,- then to Yogya with a train  

  • 00:30 or 01.00 am: This trip will be started from your accommodation or hotel in Ijen area around at 00:30 am or at least at 01:00 am and then drives for about 1 hour to reach the post 1 of Paltuding or this is as the starting point for the hiking activities in Ijen crater and then you will do climbing Ijen actitivities as follow

  • Arrive in the parking lot in Paltuding post which locates on the slope Mount Ijen, approximately 2.5 until 3 hours will be required to ascend slope of mount Ijen to reach peak of Ijen crater ( it depends on your condition). Upon your arrival time on the peak of Ijen crater, you can do observation of the Milky Way

  • If it is allowed by Ijen crater officer, we will descend to reach the edge of lake to see blue fire with clearer view, afterward, viewing the sunrise on the peak of Ijen crater and take a rest for awhile with amazing view of green sulfur lake as natural background,- which can forgets, how tired for the hiking process in Ijen crater

  • Resting on the edge of the crater at an altitude of 2883 meters and enjoy best panorama of the lake of sulfate where reflects spectacular view in the surrounding walls to give the impression like doom. The sulfur mining workers go down into the crater and climb back up by passing dangerous path on the edge of Ijen Crater with the load as much as 80 kilograms on their shoulders. 

  • This is really a dangerous and hard job. Here also, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery in the crater of Ijen as one of God’s amazing creation. Do not forget to take pictures in this area as a proof that you have visited one of the most amazing places on earth.

  • 06.00-10.00: Go down by passing the same route or path on the slope of Ijen till reach base camp Paltuding and along the path, you will enjoy the stunning natural scenery with fresh air and shady. And then, leaving Ijen crater area to escort you back to your accommodation or hotel for breakfast, take shower, and take your own time in hotel area, then preparation to leave accommodation or hotel in Ijen area

  • 10.00-23.35: Leaving from your accommodation in Ijen carter area to continue our trip to reach train station in Banyuwangi area to take an executive train from Banyuwangi to Yogyakarta in Central Java at 11:15 am – 23:33 pm and Ijen crater tour package from Bali Island has DONE
