Java overland tour itinerary :

Day 01: Malang or Surabaya to hotel in Ijen crater/ Banyuwangi area

  • Today, we'll start your trip from airport, train’s station or hotel either in Malang or Surabaya (the best time to start this trip is before at 13:00 pm, and please inform us in advance where we have to meet you)

  • And afterward, our team / your driver will meet you to escort you to the small town of Banyuwangi regency where Ijen crater is located which in on the westernmost of Java Island.

  • The journey will take approximately 8 - 9 hours driving with private car which is completed with air conditioned, and you may could to stops en route for having lunch at local restaurant and getting the public toilet on this trip.

  • On this trip, you will pass rural landscape, small city, plantations, rainforest, and beaches. Upon your arrival Banyuwangi, you will stay overnight at the hotel or similar accommodation before you enjoy Ijen crater trekking tours in the next morning

Day 02: Ijen crater tours from Banyuwangi, and Water Rafting tour,- the drive to Kalibaru highland

  • About at 04:00 in dawn time, our private car will bring you to the village of Licin and then continue to the slope of Mount Ijen, passing through plantations and rainforest. This is one of the few remaining on the Island of Java with giant ferns, plants and big trees.- This journey takes approximately 1 hour from your hotel/ accommodation in Banyuwangi area.

  • Arrive at the parking area of Mount Ijen, approximately 2 until 2.5 hours will be required to ascend slope of mount Ijen to reach peak of Ijen Crater and along the path, you will enjoy the stunning natural scenery with fresh air and shady.

  • Resting on the edge of the crater at an altitude of 2883 meters and enjoy best panorama of the lake of sulfate where reflects spectacular view in the surrounding walls to give the impression like memorable of the holiday volcano hiking tour experience .

Note for Ijen blue fire tours ; >>> If the weather is good enough and with the Ijen crater officer permits, you can visit Ijen crater at night time which will be started from your hotel / accommodation in Ijen area around at 00:30 am to do Ijen blue fire tours.

  • The blue fire is ignited sulphuric gas, which emerges from cracks at temperatures up to 600 degrees Celsius (1,112 degrees Fahrenheit). Those gases are directly originated from the magmatic chamber under the volcano.

  • The flames can be up to 5 meters high; some of the gas condenses to liquid and is still ignited. It is the largest blue flame area in the world and one of the purest sulfur mines.

  • The water rafting will be done for about 2 – 2.5 hours with nice view on the river bank, but you are required to pay extra cost, surely!

Day 03: The plantation tours in Kalibaru, and drive to Mount Bromo tours area stay

  • Having breakfast at your hotel, then around at 08:00, you will have a chance to enjoy eco trip of plantations in Kalibaru area.

  • On this tour's program, you will do short trekking through 09 hectares plantations with varieties of spices such as nutmeg, pepper, cinnamon, cocoa, coffee, cloves and coconuts.

  • You may also discover the extraordinary attraction of a traditional making process of palm tree liquid into palm sugar. Not to forget for visiting the dairy farm. The tour can be arranged in the morning and takes about 1 hour until 1.5 hours.

Day 04: The sunrise tours & Bromo climbing - drive to Yogyakarta  

  • Wake up in the early morning (around in the dawn time at 02:30 - by the latest at 03.00 am) and we will use a jeep which will be ready in the front of your hotel

  • And - start your trip to enjoy for Bromo sunrise tour which is located on the tengger region as known as a view point to see sunrise with its young volcanic including Mount Bromo and an active Mount Semeru as background.

  • f it is not foggy, the sunlight when the sunrise will play light shadow which it come up from the sidelines of the mountains and it will give impression like unforgettable thing on mind and heart as a creation from the God. Day 05: Jomblang cave adventure tours, AND drive back to Yogyakarta  

  • On this day, you are required to have early breakfast and around at 07:00 am, our staff will meet you at your hotel in Yogya and then drive to Jombalng Cave for about 2-3 hours driving by a private car Goa Jomblang is not really cave

  • It is part of a cave system that covers the whole of Gunung Kidul. The caves were formed over thousands were formed by rainwater and underground rivers that eroded the karst rock (a bit like the famous underground caves in the Yucatan, Mexico).

  • The actual cave (or the bit that the tourists see) is made up of three parts. The first is a large huge sinkhole that was formed by the roof of the cave collapsing. The second part of the cave is a long tunnel and the final part is Goa Grubog, the central cave.

  • If you want to go to Goa Jomblang you need to set off early from Yogyakarta. The best way to get there is by renting a private car. You need to leave Yogyakarta at around 7:30 in the morning, because you need to be at Goa Jomblang by 10:00 (and it’s good to get there early because only 25 people a day are allowed to visit).

  • It’s super easy to get to Goa Jomblang. The roads all the way to Goa Jomblang are really good, and the last part of the journey is a bit bumpy. The last 200 meters is literally dirt with rock and no tarmac.

  • You wouldn’t believe that there would be something called “Jomblang Resort” at the end of the road. Upon your arrival in Jombalang cave, you will prepare to descend the hole, installing equipments to your body. The cave instructor will be dropping you down slowly to the base of the hole which is 40 meters vertically, with a rope attached to your body.

  • Around at 12.30 pm, we will leave the Jomblang Cave and drive to Pindul Cave Tubing and then around at 13.00 to 14.30 pm, you will enjoy the trips by lay inside a set of tubes and following the drift of the underground river into the Pindul cave.

  • Played in unique cave with a cluster of bats and sparkling with the beauty of stalactite formations. After finish Cave Tubing activity, then continue to River Tubing activity (inclusive the package).

  • The River Tubing trip will take you on a journey down the Oya River, along the way you will experience stunning with waterfalls, small rapids and optional cliff jumping. After enjoy Jomblang cave adventure tours and Pindul cave tubing activities

  • After breakfast time (around at 08:30 am) our staff will meet you at your hotel in Yogya and we will continue our trip to visit the largest Hindu temple which is well known as Prambanan temple and this trip is famous and called with Prambanan tours.

  • Afterward, we will escort you to continue our trip for the city sightseeing trip in Yogya for visiting: Sultan Palace Yogyakarta, Water Castle (known as Taman Sari), Batik home industry, and to Silver Smith at Kota Gede village

  • And then, in the late afternoon or in the early evening, we’ll escort you to the hotel in the area of Borobudur temple for overnight stay before you do the Borobudur temple tour 

Day 07: The sunrise tours of Borobudur temple,- and drive to Yogyakarta airport

  • Today, We'll do the Borobudur temple tour which will start from your hotel around at 07.00 am or by the latest at 07.30 am - and drive for a couple minutes to reach parking area of Borobudur temple complex

  • Afterward, entrance the gate of Borobudur temple complex which may will be accompanied by a local tour guide who has depth knowledge with the Borobudur story. Walk around the Borobudur temple with possibilty to reach the top of the temple with the permits previously

  • Afther that, drive back to the hotel for having breakfast and enjoy your own program in hotel area (the relaxation program) till time to leave the hotel and drive to visit Mendut and Pawon Temple as well.
