Tour itinerary:
Day 01: Drive from Malang or Surabaya to Ijen crater area
Today, we'll start from airport, train’s station or hotel in Malang or Surabaya (please let us know where we have to meet you), our staff will meet you then escort you to the small town of Banyuwangi regency where Ijen crater is located. This journey takes approximately 7-8 hours driving by private car which is completed with air conditioned. It may will stops en route for having lunch at local restaurant on road sides of the way. On this trip, you will pass rural landscape, small city, plantations, rainforest & beaches. Upon your arrival Banyuwangi, you will stay overnight at Prada white house (Prada Ijen home stay) or Ketapang Indah hotel or similar hotel before enjoy Ijen crater trekking with adventure trail in the next morning
Day 02: Ijen tour with expedition trekking & then drive to Bromo hotel
Wake up in the dawn time (around at 04:00 am) and then you will meet with our staff at the lobby of your hotel to drive to reach to the Paltuding by passing through plantations and rainforest. This is one of the few remaining rain forest in Java Island with giant ferns, plants & big trees. This journey takes approximately 1 hour from your hotel by private car. Paltuding is well known as post 1 (base camp) or starting point for Ijen expedition tour and climbing or trekking tour activities to the slope of Mount Ijen. Arrive in the parking in Paltuding which is located on the slope Mount Ijen, approximately 1 until 1.5 - 2 hours will be required to ascend slope of mount Ijen to reach peak of Ijen Crater ( it is depend on the your condition) and along the path, you will enjoy the stunning natural scenery with fresh air & shady. Resting on the edge of the crater at an altitude of 2883 meters and enjoy best panorama of the lake of sulfate where reflects spectacular view in the surrounding walls to give the impression like doom. The sulfur mining workers go down into the crater and climb back up by passing dangerous path on the edge of Ijen Crater with the load as much as 80 kilograms on their shoulders. This is really a dangerous & hard job
Here also, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery in the crater of Ijen as one of God’s amazing creation. Do not forget to take pictures in this area as a proof that you have visited one of the most amazing places on earth. After enjoyed the natural scenery at Crater of Ijen and then you will descend the slope of Mount Ijen until vehicles parking area in Paltuding base camp where our vehicle is waiting to escort you back to your hotel or accommodation in Ijen crater area or continue for our trip directly to reach to your hotel or accommodation in Mount Bromo for about 5 - 7 hours driving by a private car. Upon arrival in Mount Bromo, you will stay at Lava View Lodge Bromo or similar hotel where located on the rim of Tengger region before you enjoy Bromo tours with the amazing sunrise view in the next morning
Note for Ijen blue fire tours: If the weather is good enough and you are interested, you can visit Ijen crater at night time which will be started from your hotel / accommodation in Ijen area around at 00:30 am to do Ijen blue fire tours. The blue fire is ignited sulphuric gas, which emerges from cracks at temperatures up to 600 degrees Celsius (1,112 degrees Fahrenheit). Those gases are directly originated from the magmatic chamber under the volcano. The flames can be up to 5 meters high; some of the gas condenses to liquid and is still ignited. It is the largest blue flame area in the world and one of the purest sulfur mines. If you are lucky enough, you can observe the Milky Way in Ijen crater area during you do the ijen blue fire tours and this trip will be combined with the viewing of sunrise in Ijen crater area. Day 03: The Bromo sunrise to Bromo savannah & Mentigen sunset tours
Wake up in the early morning (around in the dawn time around at 03:30 am) and we will use a jeep which will be ready in the front of your hotel to start your trip to enjoy for Bromo sunrise tour which is located on the tengger region as known as a view point to see sunrise with its young volcanic including Mount Bromo and an active Mount Semeru as background. If it is not foggy, the sunlight when the sunrise will play light shadow which it come up from the sidelines of the mountains and it will give impression like unforgettable thing on mind & heart as a creation from the God. You can choose one of the places to see sunrise in Mount Bromo such as:
Mount Pananjakan or Gunung Penanjakan is known well as the best place for view point of Bromo Sunrise in Tengger region. Mt Penanjakan is a major viewing point for all tourists who visited Mount Bromo to enjoy sunrise tours Bromo. It means this place will be crowded on the season of holiday or on the weekend
King Kong hill or Bukit King Kong: If you visit to Mount Bromo, on weekends, or holidays, so at Bromo very crowded with visitors. I suggest you go to the other viewpoint (king kong hill) is a good place to see the sunrise time and Bromo crater, on the an altitude of about 2600 meters
Love hill of Bromo or Bukit Cinta Bromo: is an alternative place to see the stunning beauty for sunrise time on the Mount Bromo. Just like King Kong hill, the spot of love hill is also less well-known than the main spot named "the view point 1" or Mount Penanjakan (the 1st summit climbing), where the most clear view of the sunrise on Mount Bromo can be seen from this spot. However, if you got that Mount Penanjakan is too crowded of other tourists, you can choose Love Hill as a good alternative besides King Kong hill
Afterward, our jeep will bring us to continue our trip to reach the parking area of 4WD vehicle (jeep) by passing the amazing view on the slope of Mt. Bromo, then from parking area you are required to cross seas sand on the slope of Mt. Bromo by horse riding or on foot (it is optional) till reach the stairs up (more than 250 stairs) at the slope of Mt Bromo which it will lead you to reach peak of Mt Bromo. After enjoy nice view of Bromo crater and around at 08:00, we will escort you back to the hotel for having Breakfast. After having breakfast, we will continue our trip for about 1,5 hour driving by 4WD vehicle/ jeep to reach “the savanna/ teletubies hill” by crossing the seas sand in Tengger region which it is bordered by mountains. After a short break & take pictures, we will go to hotel for taking a bath and enjoy your own free program at hotel nearby with nice view and fresh air surrounding. Around in the late afternoon, we will escort you to the MENTIGEN area to see sunset time then drive back to your hotel for having dinner & overnight stay before we continue our trip in the next morning
Day 04: Bromo hotel - Water rafting tours & drive to Surabaya or Malang
After having breakfast, our staff will meet you at the hotel and around at 08:00 am, we’ll continue our trip to reach the place for doing water rafting for about 2 -2.5hours driving. On this trip we will pass rural landscape, small cities, plantations, hills & rice fields. Upon arrival at the place of Water Rafting, we will do the Rafting and the Rafting will be held for about 3 hours & it will be included your lunch on this place. After enjoyed Water Rafting, around in the afternoon we will continue our trip to escort you back to Malang or Surabaya for about 3-4 hours driving & in this route will pass rural landscape, small cities, rice fields, plantations & beaches.
