Ijen Crater is the biggest crater lake in Java. The sulfur crater lake lies between a natural dams of deeply etched rock. It is 200 meters deep and contains about 36million cubic meters of steaming acid water, shrouded in a smelling swirling sulfur cloud. Inside the crater the different color and size of stones are found. Indeed the crater of Ijen is beautiful garden of stone as well. The principal attraction at Ijen is the large Crater Lake that has much sulfur, which lies hidden between sheer walls and deeply furrowed rock at more than 200 meters. The Ijen crater itself lies at approximately 2,300 meters above sea level. It forms a twin volcano with the now extinct Mount Merapi. The enormous Crater Lake, which is 200 meters deep and covers an area of more than a million square meters, contains about 36 million cubic meters of steaming and acid water.

Day 01:Bali Island to Banyuwangi Hotel (East Java)
Our staff will pick you up from your hotel or airport in Bali then take you to the most western tip of Bali for about 3-4 hours driving by private car with AC to reach Gilimanuk ferry port in the most western tip of Bali Island, then upon arrival in Gilimanuk, we will proceed to take a ferry to cross Bali strait for about 1-1,5 hour to reach Ketapang ferry port in Banyuwangi which is located in the most eastern tip of Java Island. The trip goes through the rural landscapes of West Bali and in the afternoon, we will arrive in Banyuwangi and then, we escort you to the Hotel in area of Ijen Crater for overnight stay or having dinner before you enjoy Ijen Crater Trekking on the next morning.

Banyuwangi sightseeing tour:
Banyuwangi is located at the end of the line of Java, a pleasant enough small town. Most travelers only pass Banyuwangi toward Bali, so there is no reason to stay here for longer time. The city has many attractions, but visiting some of city landmark could be a good way to spend time. Visiting several of city landmarks could be doable for spending your time in Banyuwangi, such traditional harbor of Boom beach, traditional market & small museum with it's local collections will give an idea how Banyuwangi was at the past
Jagir Mini Niagara Waterfall Tours:
Jagir waterfall is located in Kampung Anyar Village, Banyuwangi East Java. It is only 45 minutes till 1 hour drives from the parking area in Ijen Crater (Paltuding Camp) & after driving for about 1 – 1.5 hours, you have to walk only 10 minutes from the parking area through the path that will lead you there. Jagir waterfall also knows as Twin Waterfall, because in this area you will see there are two waterfalls that have the same form. It is about 25 m high. Banyuwangi Water Rafting:
If you still have enough time & the weather is good enough, you will have a chance to do Water rafting in Banyuwangi, before you reach to the Hotel in Banyuwangi area (Ijen Crater). We will need for about 1.5 – 2 hours driving from meeting point in Ketapang ferry port of Banyuwangi to reach the place of Water rafting activities which is located in Sumber Bulu village, Songgon on the slope of Mount Raung with the fantastic river flow. The Water rafting will be done for about 2.5 - 3 hours with nice view on the river bank
Kaliklatak Agro Tourism:
Kaliklatak is the pioneer of agro tourism in Banyuwangi even in Indonesia; this plantation has been established since long. The first owner is a Dutch company Mij Moorman & Co., but in 1957 this estate changed hands to R. Soehoed Prawiroatmodjo, a local businessman and specially engaged in coffee plants, rubber and cacao. He improved Kaliklatak plantations with other plants like pepper, cloves, nutmeg, vanilla, cinnamon, keningar, eucalyptus, coconut and fruits such as bananas and citrus.
One attraction is the presence of agro-tourism demonstration in Kaliklatak is to see the coffee processing from planting, maintenance; harvesting and processing become real coffee beans. Similarly, starting with the rubber crop management by processing the sap up into the manufacture of other rubber products all can be observed by visitors. Kaliklatak plantation has an area about 1.013 ha; situated at an altitude of 450m above sea level makes the weather here is very cool. When visitors climb up to the highest place (Hargosonyo) they will enjoy a beautiful view of the city of Banyuwangi, Bali Strait, Blambangan Peninsula and Bali Island
Day 02: Ijen Crater Tours – Ketapang Ferry Port – Bali Island
About at 04:30 in the morning, our 4WD vehicle (jeep) will bring us to the village of Licin and then continue to the slope of Mount Ijen, passing through plantations and rainforest. This is one of the few remaining on the Island of Java with giant ferns, plants & big trees, this journey takes approximately 1 hour from the hotel by private car. Arrive at the parking area of Mount Ijen, approximately 1 until 1.5 hours will be required to ascend slope of mount Ijen to reach peak of Ijen Crater and along the path, you will enjoy the stunning natural scenery with fresh air & shady.
Resting on the edge of the crater at an altitude of 2883 meters and enjoy best panorama of the lake of sulfate where reflects spectacular view in the surrounding walls to give the impression like unforgettable thing on your life. The sulfur mining workers go down into the crater and climb back up by passing dangerous path on the edge of Ijen Crater with the load as much as 80 kilograms on their shoulders. This is really a dangerous & hard job. Here also, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery in the crater of Ijen as one of God’s amazing creation. Do not forget to take pictures in this area as a proof that you have visited one of the most amazing places on earth.
After enjoyed the natural scenery at Crater of Ijen and then you will descend the slope of Mount Ijen until vehicles parking area where our vehicle is waiting to escort you back to the City of Banyuwangi with stop for awhile to visit plantations (cloves, cocoa), then continue our trip to take you out directly to Ferry Port in Ketapang (most eastern tip of Java Island) to cross Bali strait by ferry for about 1hour to reach Port of Gilimanuk in the most western tip of Bali Island. Upon arrival in Gilimanuk port, we will continue to drive to Pemuteran, Lovina, Ubud, Kuta, Sanur, Seminyak, Nusadua or Jimbaran area for about 3-4 hours and TOUR SERVICES FINISHED
Optional program for Blue Flame or Blue Fire Ijen Tour:
When you arrived in the hotel of Ijen Crater area & If the weather is good enough in the evening time, you will have a chance to enjoy blue flame ijen tour or blue fire Ijen tour which is combined with Ijen sunrise tour on the peak of Mount Ijen (gunung ijen), but you are required to leave from the hotel around at 12:00 pm (midnight)
Kawah Ijen or Ijen Crater is the only crater in Indonesia which has a natural phenomenon "blue fire". In the world, there are only two places that have the blue fire.
